CRICKET on the beach

The only pub in the Britain to have a cricket team with a pitch on the beach.

Whatever the Scottish weather throws at us, scores of spectators come back year on year to enjoy an afternoon’s cricket during the weekends throughout the summer.

Elie’s flat, sandy expanse of beach allows cricket to take place at low tide, with the area of play meticulously rolled to provide the perfect wicket.

The EAST NEUK

The ‘East Neuk’ or eastern corner of the ‘Kingdom of Fife’ is one of Scotland’s hidden gems.

Stretching from the villages of Elie & Earlsferry to Crail and Kingsbarns, the East Neuk was once the heart of the east coast of Scotland’s fishing trade.

Visit the gorgeous harbours of Crail, Anstruther or Pittenweem or explore Lower Largo and visit our sister pub, The Crusoe for some delicious seafood on the pier.

Walk the Fife coastal path or just idle away the hours or Elie & Earlsferry beach, The East Neuk has something for everyone.
