A team drawn from the membership of The Garrick Club, nestled in the heart of West End. Founded in 1831 as a club for “actors and men of refinement to meet on equal terms,” it carries a long tradition of elegance, wit, and culture.

Now, Andrew Butler of The Ship Inn is assembling a Garrick XI and bringing them north to see whether they can match the Ship on those very same terms.

Adding to the intrigue, this will be their first-ever outing on the beach at Elie — a new stage, unfamiliar conditions, and a proper test of whether refinement can translate into runs on the sand.
