Our first encounter with one of cricket’s most charming and storied wandering sides — The Authors Cricket Club — as they make a welcome stop on their Scottish tour.

An Edwardian-inspired team drawn from the ranks of The Authors Club, their heritage is as rich as it is unique. Literary greats such as P. G. Wodehouse, Arthur Conan Doyle, and J. M. Barrie once turned out for the side, taking on fellow eccentrics like The Actors and The Publishers in annual fixtures at Lord’s Cricket Ground.

Their travels have been nothing short of extraordinary — from the dusty plains of Rajasthan to the cobbled streets of the Vatican — and now, for the very first time, they bring their timeless brand of cricket to the golden sands of East Neuk of Fife.

A meeting of history, humour, and heritage — and a fixture that promises to be as memorable as it is unique.
