We are delighted to welcome a new and wonderfully named side to the sands — the Rusty Giraffes, a team made up of guests celebrating Katie and Guy’s wedding in Elie the following day.

Katie and Guy, who are based in Kenya, have named the team after their favourite local watering hole — a touch of African flair brought to the Fife coast. Expect a side brimming with youth, energy, and plenty of pre-wedding exuberance.

As for The Ship Inn, they’ll be relying on something rather different: experience, guile, and just enough wisdom to try and keep the Giraffes in check. It promises to be a lively, good-humoured contest — and the perfect prelude to a very special weekend.
