We round off the season in style with a celebration alongside two of Scotland’s oldest cricket clubs — Banchory Cricket Club and Selkirk Cricket Club. Both were founded in 1851 — the year of The Great Exhibition — and this year proudly mark their 175th anniversaries.

To honour that shared heritage, we’ve invited both clubs to close out the season with a special triangular tournament on the beach at Elie. Selkirk will make the 88-mile journey north, Banchory 78 miles south, as we come together to celebrate all that is great about cricket — and, indeed, all that is great about life.

It promises to be a fitting finale: a joyful meeting of history, camaraderie, and competition, bringing the curtain down on a landmark anniversary year for these two storied clubs — and a wonderful way for The Ship Inn to conclude what is sure to be a memorable 2026 season.
