Beach Polo Returns to Elie!

Join us on 19th September for our third Beach Polo Tournament, as the horses and riders return to the sands of Elie for a brilliant afternoon of polo by the sea.

Beach Polo is completely free to watch, so come down, find a spot on the beach and enjoy the action. The Ship Inn Beer Garden will be open, with the BBQ, Beach Bar and Ship’s Galley serving food, drinks and ice cream from 12 noon.

The first chukka gets underway at 2pm, with six chukkas played between three teams from St Andrews University Polo Club, Glasgow University Polo Club and Dundee & Perth Polo Club. Whether you know your polo or have never watched a match before, it’s quite a spectacle seeing it played at full pace on Elie Beach.

Make an afternoon of it with VIP

For something a little more special, book a VIP ticket and enjoy exclusive access to The Ship’s Cabin and its surrounding outdoor area from 1.30pm, with fizz and afternoon tea while you watch the action.

We can’t guarantee you a seat – but we can guarantee a great afternoon!

VIP tickets sold out in the spring, so we recommend booking early if you’d like to join us.

And when the polo finishes…

The afternoon doesn’t end with the final chukka. Joe & Ben will be playing live in the Beer Garden afterwards, so stay on for music, drinks and (hopefully!) a beautiful September evening by the sea.
